Car Accident Leaves Edgar Springs Teen Dead

The Rolla Daily News reported on a fatal accident in southern Phelps County Saturday night. The crash occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m.
Shane Black, the 18-year-old passenger in a 2005 Chevrolet was pronounced dead by Phelps County Deputy Coroner Lenox Jones at 11:12 p.m.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states that the Chevy truck was travelling eastbound on Highway FF, about a mile and a half east of Edgar Springs. The truck travelled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, striking a tree and a fence.
Shane Black and the driver, Austin Kuhn, 19, were both ejected from the vehicle. Neither were wearing seatbelts.
Driver Austin Kuhn, a minor, was visibly intoxicated and driving recklessly. Kuhn was arrested for felony involuntary manslaughter.
