Train Injuries & Rail Negligence
Thousands of Americans are injured in railroad accidents, derailments, or other train-related disasters every year. Unfortunately, due to the sheer size and weight of trains, many of these injuries can prove fatal.
By law, trains moving through heavily populated areas must move at slower speeds and use whistles to alert pedestrians of an approaching train. However, as many as 80% of railroad crossings do not have adequate warning devices—potentially causing pedestrians and drivers to be unaware that a train is coming until it’s too late.
If you are injured or lost a loved one in a train accident, there is only a limited amount of time to seek compensation by filing a lawsuit.
Schultz & Myers Personal Injury Lawyers currently accepts train and railroad injury cases throughout the states of Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas.
