Schultz & Myers Personal Injury Lawyers put a creative spin on the ice bucket challenge this summer calling it the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Hot (Cold?) Potato. Beginning in August, and running into early September, the personal injury law firm collected donations for the ALS Kimmswick 5k.
The goal was to raise $500. Each willing paralegal and attorney were assigned a different series of numbers. If the amount of money raised was one of their numbers, they’d be the lucky one to take the plunge. Ultimately, we reached our goal, making BOTH founding partners Stephen Schultz and Josh Myers take the Ice Bucket Challenge!
In a surprise move during filming, Josh Myers agreed to personally match the donations raised—ultimately raising $1,000 for the ALS Kimmswick 5k
Hi, I’m Josh Myers.
And I’m Stephen Schultz.
Schultz & Myers Personal Injury Lawyers has joined in the worldwide ALS Fundraising Campaign. ALS is a degenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. As the disease progresses, patients are left totally paralyzed.
The financial stress on both the patient and their family can be catastrophic–With medical expenses as high as $200,000 a year. Our firm is supporting the annual Kimmswick 5k in support of Nancy Ratliff’s medical costs associated with ALS. Through your sponsorship we raised a total of $550–exceeding our company goal, and in fact, we’re going to personally match that to make sure that we give as much as possible for this cause.
And as part of fulfilling this campaign of ours, we are now going to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!
